Based on a novel by John O’Hara, this drama stars Elizabeth Taylor as Starr Faithful, a NYC model/call-girl who falls for a married man (Laurence Harvey) and mistakenly assumes that he will leave his wife for her. Taylor received an Academy Award for her intense role and both Joseph Ruttenberg and Charles Harten were nominated for Best Cinematography.
